Surprise!!

Maybe it’s just the algorithm, but unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the buzz around the recent B-2 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) strike.

  • BBC reporting includes helpful imagery and a MOP diagram sourced from Janes.

  • Binkov’s video offers a speculative breakdown of how the strike might’ve gone down. Kudos to Binkov for being left of the mission!

🎮 So What Does That Look Like in IADS: The Game?

If you've played the Advanced Capabilities Expansion, you may have fielded the Advanced Bomber — a unit card designed to reflect the B-2 Spirit.

  • With the Low Observable special capability, it’s difficult to detect — especially if the defending player’s SAM network has already been degraded (or is completely non-existent).

Once on target, the Advanced Bomber brings serious heat with 4d6 air-to-surface dice. That's enough to destroy a standard Headquarters (10 Defense) in a single pass — no problem.

But Fordo? Fordo is not a standard HQ. It's more like a triple-Upgraded Headquarters card — hardened and buried deep underground.

Thinking about Binkov's video, we can think of the GBU-57 MOP, as a missile token from an Upgraded Advanced Bomber.

Math -- that brings us to a 5d6 roll against a 16 Defense nuclear enrichment facility.

🎲 Battle Damage Assessment?

According to the U.S. Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, “all three sites sustained extremely severe damage.

But was it enough to meet win conditions and take out Iranian nuclear production capability?

I know a lot of people are ready to count their chickens, but I think we’ll have to wait and count up all the dice.
